On behalf of our children and staff at Little Stars we would like to welcome you to our website.
We are a small family run business that offers wrap around childcare from Swallowfield primary school in Milton Keynes. Our business is owned by Joanne Tierney. Our setting is managed by Megan Gadsby (Manager) and Molly Gadsby (Deputy manager) .
Our setting offers many childcare options, such as breakfast, after school and holiday club. Our breakfast club and after school club caters for children that attend Swallowfield primary school. Our holiday club is offered to anyone within the school and for any school aged children that do not attend the school. The ages that we can cater for within all our clubs are from Reception (4years) to Year 6 (12 years).
At Little Stars we aim to always maintain our settings ethos that coincides with Swallow fields Positive behaviour policy. Which is “Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Safe ”. We strive to achieve this by having a consistent, high quality staff team that are committed to provide a safe, healthy, fun and caring environment. You can read about this policy in more detail by clicking the links below.
They can attend our wrap around care sessions. Where the children can relax, have fun, play and interact in a safe environment. All children are encouraged to have a voice and make suggestions as to what they would like to do.
Within our breakfast, after school and holiday club, we plan our sessions around the children’s ideas, suggestions and interests. We regularly ask for the children’s input to ensure they feel they are valued, and they enjoy the sessions they attend.
I am very honoured to be the setting manager within our settings. Our staff, children, families work closely together to ensure we create a safe and secure environment within the setting. We always listen to our children, staff and families and take their views and opinions into consideration and base our care around their needs.
We ensure our values are followed by all families, children and staff and have high expectations of behaviour across all our settings.
At Little Stars, we value every single child as an individual. We ensure that we make every child, family and staff member feel included and that their values and beliefs are respected. We ensure we cater for all their individual needs, so each child has the opportunity to flourish and succeed.
Safeguarding and Child protection is of the highest importance within Little Stars. We ensure our setting has a clear understanding to enable our setting to support and keep all of our children and families safe.
We look forward to meeting any new families that may want to join our Little Stars family.
Megan Gadsby
